We are a Verizon Innovative Learning School!
All scholars and staff at Vista Academy receive an internet enabled Chromebook for use in and outside of school. These devices were provided as part of a grant received from Verizon Innovative Learning and digital promise.
Verizon is also building a state of the art technology lab at Vista that will launch during the 2022-2023 school year. Scholars will engage in learning Robotics, Augmented Reality, Artificial Intelligence, Design Thinking, 3-D Design and printing, and Graphic Design.
Vista Academy is invested in holistically educating every scholar. Therefore, we have collaborated with the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music in order to grant our scholars an exploration of music education. The Brooklyn Conservatory of music, "Music Partners brings weekly, intensive music instruction to students who otherwise would not have music as part of their day. Music Partners programs include recorder ensemble, music and movement, choir, string ensemble, and band."
Vista Academy is enrolled in a partnership with Cypress Hills Local Development Corporation. This organization's mission is to build a strong, equitable East New York, where youth and adults achieve educational and economic success, secure and preserve affordable housing, and develop leadership skills to transform their lives and community.
